Community Collection for Medical Equipment
at the Trenton Farmers Market
Saturday, May 30, 2009
The Trenton Farmers' Market will be a collection site for gently used, durable medical equipment on Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The drop off location will be in the parking lot of the market, located at 960 Spruce St., Trenton, NJ. The event will take place rain or shine.
The items to be collected will include: manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, shower chairs, commodes, tray tables, grab bars, hand and ankle weights and other small pieces of equipment. Unopened boxes of medical supplies will also be accepted. Special arrangements must be made for the donation of hospital beds, patient lifts, motorized wheelchairs, or scooters at a later time.
The collected items will be donated to Your ReSource, a non-profit human service and environmental organization located in Ewing. The CARE (Community Access to Rehabilitation Equipment) Program at Your ReSource refurbishes the equipment and makes it available to anyone, especially those with limited resources. Donated items are eligible for a tax deduction receipt at the drop off. Your ReSource can be reached directly at (609) 503-1513 or www.yourresourcenj.org.
This is a great opportunity to divert valuable materials from the landfill while helping your neighbor.

We are always grateful for your donations of used medical equipment. If you have other unwanted items that you would like to see put to good use, take a look at our ReSource Guide.
